Violence is sometime described as the first resort of the uncivilized. But what if you're intelligent and civilized, but those in power are not? Do you think of your family first, or does honoring your country and those oppressed matter more? Given the opportunity and if it were in aid of installing a just government, would you join a violent revolution?
